Etiquette Guide
Nuts and seeds can be served as cocktail food. Each is full of healthy fats and minerals that keep you satisfied longer. Most help reduce stubborn belly fat. Suggested Nuts as listed with a # that counts as 1serving (1s) or 1cup (1c) with grams of fiber or gf are
Almonds, boiled and roasted or as a butter 23 1s (*R) 3.5gf or
Brazil Nuts. 1 or 2 1s (*R)
Cashews (or Cashew butter) have been touted as a super food, three or four or these can be used when making a salad dressing. Chestnuts, at Christmas, taste good as any naughty delight; unless bought on sale frugal?  Not so much.  You can serve
Filberts/Hazel nuts or Macadamia nuts (*R).
Pecans, or
Pine nuts (not as frugal,) may be served as well as
Pistachios (7c 1s), and then there are
Walnuts. (*R). Think and taste the fiber. You eat them by halves. You only need six. Nuts can be most frugal when you buy them in bulk, on sale, and just before the suggested sell by date.
Frugal tip: Nuts let you get the satiety of fat: feel full and you only need a few. I like Almonds best; I find peanuts have more frugal friendly pricing.
Get a Coffee grinder – you can pulse grind nuts for use as a topping.

Seeds (12 c) (1 s) can be served or used as a snack or as frugal cocktail food, among them
Chia seeds (available also as Chia Chips.)
Flax Seeds can be ground up in a coffee grinder and used on or in everything from baked goods to beverages. You can find it in the refrigeration section.
Mustard seeds (R) (available as Mustard.) (*R)
Poppy seeds, (careful or these, they can make you show as  positive in a drug test,) or
Pumpkin seeds (Pepitas) can be used for cocktail food.
Sesame seeds alone could be used;
you might grind your own sesame seeds and have your home made Tahini or buy some (*R), and use it to make hummus. Sesame seeds might be used on a bun or in a flatbread; they are safer as butter. emember to add to your list
Sunflower seeds, shelled or unshelled
Most nuts and seed can be gently pan toasted or roasted.
