Wear a white handkerchief in the breast pocket of a jacket, above a certain level. It is to be
1. Made of linen.
2. Have hand rolled edges, and be placed to avoid showing any monogram present. It is just for show. It can be used to wipe the brow of a fainted partner or passerby and/or to set a tourniquet. It is optional.
3. Keep another clean handkerchief folded in a pocket on your person. It is not for you. It is to be used or consoling a sobbing (as if she has been hurt) woman.
Ask, “Is there anything I can do to help,” Offer the handkerchief; point out it is clean. Ask what you might specifically do. Do what is asked of you. Tell her to keep the handkerchief. Good for you.
Names can be attached to handkerchief folds: the Kansas highway 1/4” inch stripe, and or the one peak Gibraltar. A handkerchief can be folded in a multi-pointed fold: in a tuck and go has been called the Drunken uncle.
1. Fold it in half diagonally.
2. Separate the points at the top.
3. Next fold the right bottom end up and just past the top point on the left top.
4. Take the left bottom end and fold it up just past the top point on the right top.
5. Fold the left and right sides in equally until the points are spread the approximate length of the breast pocket.
6. Fold the bottom end up. Fold the sides in. Place the handkerchief in the breast pocket and adjust the points.
Avoid carefully arranged peaks when wearing formal day or evening clothes.

Pocket Squares

You can wear a pocket square, in the breast pocket of a jacket, in your color of choice. Avoid wearing anything in a breast pocket that is identical in color or pattern to your tie. (Separate any set; outside of a department store window; it is what is to be done.) A pocket cloth can be folded.
1. Lay it down flat.
2. Fold it left or right until it is in half or in fourths.
3. Then fold it in mock thirds until the top is the approximate size of the breast pocket.
4. Fold the bottom under until it meets the top.
5. Place it in the pocket so that the loose ends are up.
6. Allow no more than an inch to an inch and a half of the material to show.
A pocket square may be folded in a puff fold:
1. Grasp the center and shake the ends free.
2. Draw the grasped ends halfway through a hole between the thumb and index finger of the other hand. Fold the puff end up and place it against your chest. Let the free ends be displayed casually.
