On a frugal meal plan: understand no one is going to eat all that candy in that dish near the door. Take what you need for each place setting. You are just helping – that’s it.

Make a My Palate ® list. From it make a shopping list? Now arm yourself with coupons from online, the store, the street, and your home. Scout for new coupons and discounts at each store. Where practical, avoid purchasing drink, atmosphere or food when you are hungry or with money alone.

Visit places that make the kind of food you like to eat. Ask for a menu “To go. Know the items that can be requested a la carte, and the ingredients of the items in each.

Now, set your menu. The selected menu is used to identify items needed in setting a table, going from the last item to be served - inside out - in kind.

Note the cost of each should it be asked.

 Collect Recipes. Listen to and make what people like:

 Specialty dishes

 Stuffing and green bean casseroles

 Sauces and Gravy and

 Drinks...

People do only talk about what you served. They speak of things gone missing.
